A Panchayat is a collective body of elected representatives chosen to manage the administrative affairs of the Panchayati Raj institutions. In the context of a Grama Panchayat (Village Panchayat), it serves as the executive body responsible for implementing the decisions of the Grama Sabha (Village Council) and managing day-to-day administration.The main components of a Panchayat are:President: The head of the Panchayat.
